| Description: Denham Reagh combines rock with a hint of pop.....and a little something extra to create their sound. | ||||
| Biography: 'Music... a way of expressing ourselves beyond simple words....a vessel by which we can show our true feelings and emotions without fear of prejudice or ridicule. When the simple walls of language and literature break down, music stands tall and will always have an answer.
To write songs about love, loss, relationships, hard times, Religion and life experiences in the hope that they can make a difference in people’s lives,’ much like they have in our own, is something very special. Sure some people may not like our music or how we perform it, but at the end of the day if someone appreciates what you’ve done and can take something out of it, than it makes it all worthwhile.' Aaron Jobst - Drummer Denham Reagh is recognised as one of Sydney's most respected Acoustic Rock bands since their inception in late 2006. Having been garnered with members from a collection of backgrounds, the band has been able to fuse various musical styles together to create their own unique sound. The boys play a large collection of original songs and Bassist Gordon describes their music as “acoustic rock with a hint of pop... and a little something extra.” They like to write songs with meaningful lyrics, particularly things that focus on real life experiences and issues. One example of this is the song ‘On Your Own’ which focuses on the sad feelings one has when losing someone very close, a feeling many have experienced. Bands that Denham Reagh have been heavily influenced by include Matchbox 20, John Mayer and the Goo Goo Dolls. Recent events and venues the band has played at include: Drum Media journalist Liam Casey recently wrote about the band and reviewed their show saying “I will happily bet a reasonable amount of money that the indie and mainstream crowds will go nuts for Denham Reagh.” The band released their debut EP in 2009 which has been well received amongst music lovers across Sydney. Denham Reagh recently recorded their new single with acclaimed producer Andy Mak (Silverchair, New Empire, Boy and Bear), which is being released 24th July through independent distributor CDBaby. |

| Description: Imagine a roughed out combination of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, 3 Days Grace, Megadeth, Rush, or any of these kinds of bands with a totally new and original sound | ||||
| Biography: The Last Act is breathing life into the genre “Metal Rock”. This sound is a hard rock/metal combination with a molded “old-skool” sound to it. TLA is re-inventing this style of music in a new and absolutely original result. Sounds Like: Black Sabbath - Iron Maiden - 3 Days Grace - Rush - Old Metallica - Megadeth (old and new) - Kill Switch Imagine a combination of all of these with a totally new and original sound and you got the Last Act. People have called the Last Act things like "Perfect" and "Genius". It is said that it is some of the only REAL rock remaining and being created today. The Last Act was re-formed in 2007 with the focus of creating music that the band members were craving but were unable to find in the market place today. Their primary focus is to create music that THEY love, cannot get enough of hearing, and cannot find anywhere else! The North American Defiance Tour 2010-11 will be starting early this year following the release of their 3rd CD titled “Still Standing” as of March 6, 2010, with the first leg hitting mid size venues in major centers across Canada. A stunning 9 out of 10 people who listen to the new material coming from TLA end up loving it and become die-hard fans! The good news is there is a lot more on its way!! |
